Message Research the causes of turbo lag and you'll understand why you want to keep the turbo as close to the exhaust manifold as possible with the shortest length of intake piping possible. Running an extra 6-7 feet of exhaust and intake piping is a horrific idea if you don't have the displacement to move enough air to spool it quickly.
